Opening
To open a view, right mouse click a portfolio or symbol to display the Right Mouse Menu. Select Show View to open a sub-menu containing a list of available views and then select the view you would like opened by clicking it (screenshot). The selected view will open somewhere in the active perspective and depending upon where it opens you might want to reposition it. There are a few limitations to keep in mind when adding a view in this manner, namely:
- Only a single view can be added at a time
- Only portfolio views can be added when right mouse clicking on a portfolio
- Only symbol views can be added when right mouse clicking on a symbol
- Not every view in PortfolioXpert can be added to a perspective in this manner
Another way to open a view without any of the limitations outlined above is by clicking Window from the Main Menu Bar and selecting Show View (screenshot). In the newly opened window locate the view you would like opened using the search field, or by clicking the arrow to the left of a folder name to expand its contents. Note that any view already open in the active perspective will be grayed out. Select the view to be opened, or if you want to open multiple views simultaneously hold down the CTRL button while making your selections, and then click the OK button (screenshot). The selected view will open somewhere in the active perspective and depending upon where it opens you might want to reposition it.
